Meeting life’s basic needs is the first step to stability.
Many families qualify for public benefits, but find them difficult to access.
Applying for supports like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps; Medicaid and other supports can be daunting. Welcome Center staff screens for several types of benefits at once, saving participants from having to travel from office to office applying for benefits separately.
The Welcome Center offers:
- Emergency food (enough for one day)
- Personal hygiene items like soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Rent and utility assistance
- Assistance with diapers, formula and baby supplies
- Transportation assistance
- Connections to community resources
- Other needs as they arise

General Agency Hours:
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday
